The mural was designed by the featured artists ALTernative, and will be painted by Joss Parker. ALTernative’s mission is to utilize the power of art and design to improve the built environment of Columbus’ neighborhood as a way to enrich the quality of life of community members. They have worked with many different communities including those in the University District, Near East Side, Gahanna, Dublin, and Westerville. In addition to murals, they have created public art and educational gardens. They strongly believe that art and design are an essential element in the creation of better neighborhoods.
